Punjab State Council for Science & Technology celebrates State Level National Science Day
On 28th February 1928, the great Indian Physicist and Noble Laureate – Sir CV Raman discovered the Raman Effect for which he was awarded the Nobel prize in physics in 1930. Raman spectroscopy has applications in many varied fields where non-destructive, microscopic, chemical analysis and imaging is required. To mark the important discovery, the Government of India celebrates 28th February as National Science Day which is the most important science festival of India. Punjab State Council for Science & Technology (PSCST), as a nodal agency of Department of Science & Technology, Government of India celebrates 28th February every year on a given theme by organizing and supporting scientific activities at school, college, and university levels in Punjab.
