Punjab Lecturers Union oppose new medical leave policy of government

Ferozepur, August 22, 2016:  The Punjab Lecturers Union has opposed the new medical leave policy of government of minimum 15 days medical leave.  The Union demanded immediate scrapping of the new policy.

 

Condemning the dictatorial attitude of the government, Komal Arora, President, PLU said, under the new rules, it will be compulsory to take 15 days medical leave against the earlier instructions, one can get even one or two days.

 

He also opposed the new Annual Confidential Report (ACR) 2016 new proformas terming it as complicated and create suspicious and the actual evaluation of a teacher would not be possible. He demanded that either it should be withdrawn or amended accordingly.

 

Talking about the 373 upgraded Senior Secondary Schools, he said, all schools are headless as no posts of Principals have been filled so far creating lot of problems in administration of day today working of the schools besides affecting the study of the students. He also demanded increase in promotion quota from 55 to 75 per cent.
