Poster of 11th Mohan Lal Bhaskar Art & Theatre Festival was today released by V.K.Meena, Divisional Commissioner of Ferozepur and Faridkot on Friday at Ferozepur
It may here be re-called that Bhaskar was an Indian spy in Pakistan and was awarded death sentence there by a Pakistan Court. But after suffering six and half years of imprisonment in various Pakistani jails, he with the strong efforts of eminent Poet and his mentor Harvansh Rai Bacchan, Bhaskar was repatriated in December 1974 under Shimla Agreement.
Later on Bhaskar at his own not only got his family back on the track of normal life but wrote his auto-biography which was awarded national award in 1989. He later also wrote three books besides a Poetry collection. He won various prizes in the state level science exhibitions and also represented state in the National Level Science fairs.
Meanwhile he sat two educational institutions in this border district and also produced a film ‘Yeh Hai Pyar Ka Mausum’, themed against ‘Terrorism’. He exhorted a lot of service to various social organizations of this border town in the last stage of his life.
S.N.Rudra, Executive Member of the Mohan Lal Bhaskar (MLB) Foundation said that to mark the birth anniversary of Mohan Lal Bhaskar i.e November 30, MLB Foundation had been organising various social and cultural events for last one decade.
This year including Free Medical Camp on November 1, Elder’s Day Celebration and Adopting poor families for free ration and medical assistance for a year on November 11, Candle March to raise voice for the value of parents on November 29, Interschools/colleges cultural events, stage plays and Classical Singing competition would be held on November 30 morning, said Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar, General Secretary of MLB Foundation.
The mega event of 11th MLA festival, All India Mushaira to be participated by eminent Urdu Poets of the nation would enthrall the audience on November 30 evening at local Manav Mandir Senior Secondary School, revealed H.K.Gupta, Vice President of the MLB Foundation.

Present among others on the Poster release occasion were Santokh Singh, Amrik Singh, Sunil Monga, Ravi Kant Chawla, Harsh Arora, Amit Dhawan, Jhalkeshwar Bhaskar, Shalinder Bhalla, Amarjeet Singh Bhogal and Dr.Satinder Singh.
