Poor arrangements surfaced during surprise checking of Aanganwadi Centres in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, September 21, 2016 :  Insufficient supply of diet by the government in the Anganwadi Centres was pointed out during the surprise visit of Chairman, District Planning Board to Khai Pheme Ki in Ferozepur District.

D.P.Chandan, Chairman has to face embarrassment when he had to hear the complaints for insufficient supply of diet being provided to the pregnant women of the area.

He was told that the centres had not been receiving the supply of diet to be given to the pregnant women since July 20, 2016 due to which there had been drop out in the number of children in the Anaganwadi centres.  It was also revealed that there were no sufficient arrangements for electricity and drinking water in the Anganwadis, leading to inconvenience and many other problems in the Anganwadis in these villages.

However, Chandan assured to make arrangements for the grants and sufficient funds from the government and the basic amenities in the Anganwadi centers in Ferozepur district are made available.
