Sodhi slams Punjab CM for doing politics on the name of Chandigarh
Ferozepur, March 29, 2022: Former cabinet minister and senior BJP leader Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi has advised Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to focus on Punjab before doing politics on Chandigarh. He said that if the Central Government is providing benefits to the employees and the people of Chandigarh, then why the Punjab CM is feeling sorry for it. He said that Chandigarh, being the Union Territory, is an integral part of India and not only Punjab. While slamming the Punjab CM, Sodhi said that the CM is trying to hide his failures after Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced the implementation of the Central Government’s service rule from April 1 on more than 16,000 employees of Chandigarh. He said that after this announcement of the Home Minister, the people of Chandigarh would get a lot of benefit from the implementation.
Sodhi alleged that Mann is trying to divert the attention of the people from his failures by doing politics on Chandigarh, which will never be tolerated.
“If AAP Chief and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is feeling sorry for Chandigarh, he should first tell the achievements of AAP in Chandigarh, then he should do politics on Chandigarh. AAP has attained power only by showing false dreams to the people. Even Mann should clarify that who actually confirmed the contractual employees, him or former CM Channi. The CM must tell people that whether 72 thousand contractual employees of Punjab have been confirmed now or not. On all such issues, the people of Punjab have been misled. The fact is that no such work has been done which could give relief to the common man”, said Sodhi.
“I am a Punjabi and I will always raise my voice for the interest of the people of Punjab but I will also raise my voice against those who mislead the people by deviating from the main issues”, Sodhi further added.
Sodhi said that when the Prime Minister had come to Punjab on January 5 to make big announcements, other parties including Congress could not tolerate his arrival and eventually the PM had to return. “And now when the Central Government is doing good work for the people of Chandigarh, others including the Chief Minister of Punjab are not able to digest it”, said Sodhi.
