Police launches crackdown on aides of gangster Lakhbir Landa, conducts raids at 48 places in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, September 25, 2023: In a drive to dismantle the terror-gangster links in the country, the Ferozepur police are up in arms against the anti-social elements and conducted raids at 48 suspected places of gangster Lakhbir Landa.
The raids were conducted at the henchmen of gangsters at 48 places at one time at all the places. These henchmen or aides are termed as loyal employees, supporter or aide to some powerful figure engaged in nefarious or criminal enterprises. Such persons of gangster Lakhbir Land are continuously reported to be extorting ransom by threatening. The police got a tip-off that in Ferozepur a number of aides of gangster Landa are working in Ferozepur and at about 48 suspected places, the raids were conducted by the police in the Makhu and Guruharsahai areas.
Added here, earlier also a call was received by a Karyana shopkeeper from the foreign numbers and later on two masked men fired at him in which he was saved.
Divulging with the details, Randhir Kumar, SP(D) said, as per directions of SSP Deepak Hillori, the raids were conducted at the suspected places and some persons have been detained. However, further investigations are on and the outcome will be shared later on.
