Police cop dies in road accident, two claimants

Ferozepur February 25, 2019:  Confusion continued to persist over the custody of the deceased person who died in a road accident for some time. On Sunday late night, in a tragic road accident, SHO identified as J J Singh Atwal posted at Moga died.   However, two families lay claim over the dead body.

J J Singh Atwal was coming back from his duty on his own car when he met with an accident.  His car hit the Crane parked on the roadside when he reached and the impact of the hit was so dangerous as he died on the spot.

However, there were two claimants of the dead body after the post-mortem. The moment the family members of Atwal, were moving in Ambulance for Moga, a family residing in Housing Board Colony raised the issue that first the body will be taken to their house at Ferozepur and only after that it will be taken to Moga.

In the meantime, the police reached the spot when the Ambulance was stopped near the Aggarsen chowk.  However, the issue was resolved with the intervention of police, prominent persons, Counselor etc.  by taking first the dead body to the house in Housing Board Colony and then moved to Moga with their family members.

But the claim of a dead body of Atwal by the two families remained a mystery for the time being.
