PCMSA demands post of Director General Health Services apprises Pay Commission of their demands
Ferozepur, December 7, 2017: PCMS Association led by Patron Dr Manjit Singh Patron and DR Gagandeep Singh President PCMSA PUNJAB met the Pay Commission today and represented the case of whole PCMS cadre from Medical officers to Director level regarding pay scales and allowances and promotion avenues.
Keeping in view lengthy medical study, late entry into PCMS job, being the only Class1 officers working in remotest areas of State lacking even basic facilities, stressful working conditions without even security and minimum holidays the association demanded higher and honourable pay scales with a step up every four years and more promotion avenues so that mature and experienced doctors stay in service and there is minimum dropout.
At present dropout rate in PCMS is maximum as doctors leave the job out of frustration as there is no promotion even after 24 years of Service. Association also demanded six additional increments for specialists at every scale and 33% NPA and higher academic Allowance, Rural health allowance and increase in gratuity.
Association demanded that there should be a post of Director General Health Services and 15 posts of Director Health and increase in posts of SMO And Deputy Directors.
