Pb Govt to monitor illegal mining through PB-GRAMS Portal for online registration of complaint
Ferozepur, April 29, 2017: In a bid to stop illegal mining activity in the country, while the Ministry of Mines has developed a mining surveillance system – MSS – that will use satellite imagery to trigger alarms of unauthorized mining activity, the Punjab Government has introduced the PB-Grams Portal for registration online complaint for illegal mining going in the particular area.
A notification to this effect has been issued by the Industries and Commerce Department of Punjab Government for initiating immediate action the persons involved in the illegal mining.
Speaking on the issue, Vaneet Kumar, ADC(D)-cum-Nodal Officer Mining said, the people should cooperate with the government to stop illegal mining in the state and in case anyone wants to give information for illegal mining, the same can be registered online at PB-GRAMS Portal – Publilcgrievancepb.gov.in besides informing on landline phone number 01632-220057 in the office of General Manager-cum-Mining Officer, District Industries Centre.
