Ferozepur, January 25, 2021: The recovery of mobiles and banned items from inside the jail from the prisoners or thrown from over the high walls outside has become a regular feature.
Mobile is one of the most wanted banned items by the jail inmates but the purpose of keeping the inmates away from worldly affairs is lost.
On Monday, one mobile was recovered during the search operation from a prisoner under trail identified as Karam Singh alias Nimma of Arif Ke.
Divulging with details, Jang Singh, IO in this case informed that one mobile of Samsung touch screen with Jio SIM but without battery was recovered. Meanwhile, a case on the complaint of Hari Singh Assistant Superintendent has been registered at City police station under Sections52-A of Prisons Act and further investigations are on, with special focus on its suspected usage purpose.
