One days’ Training Camp under NDMP organized at SBS Stadium

Distt. Admn Ferozepur fully prepared to cope with floods and natural calamities: Kharbanda

Ferozepur, July 22, 2016: One days’ Training Camp by Commandant, NDRF, Commandant, Punjab Home Guards, Civil Defence , PAP, PP of National Disaster Management Department Bahtinda with the assistance of Punjab Police was organized at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium, attended by in good numbers of members of Youth Clubs, and students of Schools, Colleges.

The prime task of NDRF is to provide specialized response during disasters and this altruistic service of NDRF has been complimented by all.

Today’s training camp is a part of imparting skills by rigorous training regular practice and mock drills during normal situations.

Speaking on this occasion, Er.DPS Kharbanda, DC Ferozepur said, the district administration is fully ready to cope with floods or any other natural calamity besides taking ample rescue and relief measures.

A live demo to deal with the flood, any untoward incident and natural calamities and to take the people to the safer place and the measures adopted to bring the unconscious people to conscious was given to the people, said Lokander Singh Commandant, NDRF.

Present on this occasion were, Vineet Kumar, ADC, Sundeep Singh Garha, SDM, Jarnail Sngh, SDM Zira, SM Dhillon, PAP. Sukhmandar Singh, DRO, Gurmit Singh Dhillon, DDPO, Dr.Ramanpreet Kaur, Ashok Behal, Secretary Red Cross, Sarabjit Singh Bedi, NYK and heads of various departments, members of youth clubs, panch and sarpanch.
