GOC exhorted all ranks to re-dedicate themselves in service of the nation

Ferozepur, December 16, 2015:  Golden Arrow Division celebrated Vijay Diwas in Ferozpur on 16 Dec 2015 to commemorate the victory of India against Pakistan in 1971.

Maj Gen Vijay Pingale, General Officer Commanding, Golden Arrow Division laid a wreath and the guard of honour from “ Barki Brigade” paid homage to the martyrs of 1971 war heroes at the Barki War Memorial, who sacrificed their lives in defending the integrity of the motherland.

A large number of officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and Jawans of Ferozepur Garrison participated in the event.   General Officer Commanding interacted with all ranks of “ The Golden Arrow Division” present at the event and highlighted the role of the gallant soldiers in achieving an emphatic military victory forcing Pakistan soldiers to surrender in front of the indomitable will of the brave hearts of Indian Army, which has become a case history for the entire world.

The GOC exhorted all ranks to re-dedicate themselves in service of the nation and emulate the bravery displayed by our martyrs who have brought glory to our prestigious profession by making the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
