Now, Paddlers Club 3-members cycle to join farmers’ protest at Delhi border
Ferozepur/Abohar, December 28, 2020: Three members of Abohar Paddlers Club – Harjit Singh Hazara, Jarnail Singh, Gourav Sihag started paddling for Delhi in support of thousands of farmers protesting for withdrawal of 3-Farm Laws at the national capital’s borders.
Added here, the farmers have been protesting since November 26 at Delhi borders against the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020. They are demanding the repeal of the three laws.
The three cycle riders set out on their cycles from Abohar, were given a send off by a prayer by Head Granthi Bhai Darshan Singh of Gurdwala Shaheed Baba Deep Singh and honoring with a ‘siropa’.
These three riders were accompanied by paddlers Pritpal Narang, Dapinder Dhillon, Jagdeep Singh, Ashish Gagneja and Shshank Sharma from Abohar upto Sito Guno.
Speaking to media persons, the three riders left Abohar to join the farmers protesting at Delhi borders said, every class including employees, teaches, singers, common man, family members – are coming forward in support of the farmers because of their peaceful and genuine protest. The farmers are strong and not vulnerable and the Punjab farmers contribute maximum to the ‘food bowl’ of the country. They must get the remunerative price of their produce and marketing provisions and we have decided to support them for their fight against the controversial three farm laws.
