Now Kamboj community raises its voice for reservation under OBC in Punjab
Ferozepur, March 13, 2016: Former Minister, Hans Raj Jossan during his address at a gathering at DCM School at Golu Ka Moud near Ferozepur for implementation of 27 per cent reservation for Kamboj community. The function was also attended by Daulat Ram Kamboj, former District Planning Board Chairman, Hans Raj Kamboj, Distt. President SAD BC Wing
In this meeting a resolution was presented by Hans Raj Jossan for reservation of Kamboj community of 27 per cent reservation under OBC categories which was approved after reading out by the present leaders of various political parties belonging to Kamboj community.
Jossan said, any leader working under the banner of any political party should fight for the reservation of Kamboj community.
In his address, Jossan said, there are more than 63 communities under OBC but the facilities available for them are confined to papers only. The reservation of 27 percent by the Centre is giving to 15 percent only whereas 12 per cent reservation allowed by the states, is reduced to 2-3 percent only.
We have to fight for our rights keeping ourselves above the party, he added.
Expressing his views, Daulat Ram Kamboj, former Chairman said, I have fought for the community for a long period and even today I stand with the community.
Raj Baksh Kamboj, on occasion said, the entire community has to fight for their rights jointly from one platform with a single agenda and only the we could be successful in our mission.
Baldev Raj Kamboj, Chairman Zila Parishad said, I will talk to Punjab Chief Minister and former Cabinet Minister Hira Singh Gabdia Punjab President BC Wing so that Kamboj community may get its due right in reservation.
