No corona positive case in Ferozepur, DC appeals to stay home to maintain this status
Ferozepur, April 2, 2020: The health department and the entire district administration, under the tutelage of Kulwant Singh, Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur are maintaining complete vigilance in controlling the spread of coronavirus, said Dr.Naveen Singh, Civil Surgeon.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh has also appealed to the people to remain at home during the curfew and solicited the cooperation of the people with the district administration, to curb the spread of coronavirus, to maintain the status of no case in the district.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Navdeep Singh revealed that in the district till now only five samples of suspected coronary disease patients were sent for the laboratory test and all the five have been declared as negative. He also informed that proper arrangements have been made for quarantine and isolation of patients within the district by the health department. In addition, people from overseas and from outside states have been asked by the district administration to stay in their homes for 14 days.
The civil surgeon urged all the residents to cooperate with the district administration by staying in their homes in compliance with government directives to break the chain of coronavirus.
He further said, the corona virus spreads from virus affected person to a healthy person by coughing, coughing virus droplets and it is very important to maintain a distance of minimum of 2 meters, between them to prevent the disease besides washing hands and sanitizers repeatedly to prevent the spread of coronary disease. He also informed that there is no need to wear a mask by the healthy person rather a person with coughs, colds and fever should use it.
