Navratri 2023: Ferozepur women celebrate Navratra over Dandiya celebrations

Ferozepur, October 22, 2023: Dandiya celebrations were held successfully by Ferozepur women on the event of Navratri-2023 at a local hotel dressed up in colorful clothes.
One of the largest festivals in the country is here. Every year, Navratri is celebrated with a whole lot of pomp and grandeur all across the country. Navratri is dedicated to the nine avatars of Goddess Shakti. This festival celebrates feminine divinity and Goddess Shakti is worshipped by the devotees with a lot of dedication and devotion. Navratri, which literally translates to nine nights, celebrates the nine avatars – Maa Shailputri, Maa Brahmacharini, Maa Chandraghanta, Maa Kushmanda, Maa Skandamata, Maa Katyayani, Maa Kalaratri, Maa Mahagauri and Maa Siddhidatri.
Keeping fast and wearing clothes according to the Navratri color of the day is considered very sacred in the Hindu religion. Women follow this tradition widely and adorn themselves with similar colored clothes and accessories during Navratri. This trend is very popular among devotees observing the fast during the nine days of Navratri.
Navratri is celebrated in different ways in different parts of the country. However, the triumph of the Hindu goddess Kali or Durga is the basic idea behind the celebration. Navratri is loved and cherished by countless women across the country, who fast, prepare special foods and beverages, dress up, and visit friends and family all through these nine days.
Speaking on the occasion, Sherry Chhabra said, we have for the first time organized this program to celebrate over Dandia. No doubt it is not a Punjab culture but we have tried to celebrate inter-state culture and invited local women to showcase their talent.
Everyone present at the party enjoyed the performances of dance troupes at the event., which was followed by delicious dishes.
