Narcotic Cell arrests two drug-peddlers with 7.114 kg heroin
Ferozepur, April 7, 2021: The Narcotic Cell claimed to have arrested one drug peddler with a recovery of 7.110 kg heroin.
This is a major drug bust, not only in terms of the large cache of narcotics but also because to it will help to reach the key suppliers of narcotics to many peddlers in the city, said the police official.
As per the information, the Punjab Police Narcotic Cell team headed by Gurcharan Singh, during the routine patrolling to keep an eye on the suspicious nature persons, got a tip-off that drug-peddler identified as Raj Singh of Tendi Wala village near Indo-Pak border, is coming on foot from Hussainiwala village towards Madhre village with heroin.
Swiftly working on the in-puts, the Narcotic Cell team nabbed drug-peddler and on search recover 7.110 kg heroin.
In another incident, one drug-peddler identified as Sukha, was arrested with 4 gm heroin by the police party headed by Sharma Singh SI.
Meanwhile, the cases case under sections 21/6/185 of NDPS Act has been registered at Sadar and City police stations and further investigations are on.
