Visit reinvigorates hopes of development in border town

 Ferozepur, March 22:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Hussiniwala on Monday  to pay homage to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on their 85th Martyrdom Day, has reinvigorates hopes of developments among  the residents of this border town.

 

This visit of PM is likely to become historical to establish in real sense the couplet – “Shaheedon Ki Chitaon Par Lagenge Har Bars Mele, Watan Par Mitne Walon Ka Yahi Baki Nishan Hoga”.

Modi had earlier visited Hussainiwala on March 6, 2007 as Chief Minister of Gujarat and will be second Prime Minister after a gap of three decades when Rajiv Gandhi visited this place in 1985.

Modi is like to pay tributes at Hussainiwala afternoon when he will address to the audience in a function organized at the memorial place of martyrs.

The people of border town have high expectations from Prime Minister Modi for announcement of development projects for this border town apart from the opening of Hussainiwala border for trade purposes.  The citizens are anxious on the visit of Modi and announcements as well.

Meanwhile, the various local NGOs led by Inder Singh Gogia, President NGOs Coordination Committee, Ferozepur Unit, P.D.Sharma, Sham Lal Kakkar, A.C.Chawla, Sumit Sharma, Vinod Grover, Avtar Singh and  have submitted a memorandum in the name of Prime Minister to Kamal Sharma, Punjab State BJP President to take up the matter with PM.  The memorandum includes  the opening of Hussainiwala Border, Setting up of major industry in Ferozepur and bringing the border town among the 100 Smart City Project of the country with more than Rs.7000 crore budget provisions.

It may be added that with the opening of Indo-Pak border for trade purpose, the route would bring prosperity to the both sides besides normalization of relations between the two countries.

Stringent security measures have been adopted to rule out the chance of any mishap.  Dog Squad Team was seen searching the entire road leading to memorial place.

In view of visit of residents from far off places in thousands, temporary parking arrangements have been made by acquiring the farmer’s land with standing wheat crop with assurance to pay compensation amount.

The media persons were also seen since morning to cover the visit of Prime Minister and about 500 journalists representing various newspapers of the country are expected for the media coverage.
