MLA Dahiya gives compensation cheque of Rs.1.20 lac each to three rain-affected victims in Ferozepur
Ferozepur August 5, 2023: A special survey is being conducted of the damage to crops, houses and other lives and property damaged during rains and floods, by the Punjab Government so that due compensation may be given to the victims. Orders have been given to complete the survey work regarding these girdavaris and damage by August 15. This information was given by MLA Ferozepur Rural, Rajnish Dahiya on the occasion of giving compensation checks to the beneficiaries of houses damaged during rains and floods.
Naib Tehsildar Talwandi Bhai Shri Rakesh Kumar, Shri Uday Chand were also specially present on this occasion.
MLA Rajnish Dahiya said that the Punjab government will compensate all the victims for the houses, crops and other damages damaged during floods and rains.
He said that according to the survey conducted so far, compensation has been started for those whose houses have been damaged.
In this context, the three flood, rain and storm affected victims of damage of houses, collapse of roof and storms and strong winds identified as Balwinder Singh son of Sohan Singh, a resident of village Mohakam Khan of Ferozepur rural district, Manjit Kaur, wife of Shamsher Singh, resident of Talwandi Bhai and Bholi wife Manjit Singh resident of Talwandi Bhai and all were presented a cheque of Rs.1.20 lac each.
MLA said that the damage caused due to flood and rain is being closely surveyed by the revenue officials of the Punjab government and every eligible victim will be compensated once this work is completed.
