MLA Awla takes jibe at Sukhbir Badal, says MC elections will be held in a fair manner
Jalalabad, January 8, 2021: Taking a jibe at Sukhbir Badal, the young MLA from Jalalabad, Raminder Awla, during a press conference said, the Municipal Committee elections will be held in a fair manner. He criticized of maintaining silence by Akali and BJP till such time the three farm laws were presented in the Cabinet meeting.
Taking a jibe at Sukhbir Badal on his statement during his last visit to Jalalabad that Capt Amarinder Singh is the Chief Minister of BJP, Raminder Awla MLA Jalalabad said, Capt Amarinder Singh is standing firmly with the farmers against the 3-Farm Laws.
He said, keeping a silence till such time the agriculture bills were taken to the Cabinet Meeting passed by the BJP and Harsimrat Kaur Badal, MP and when farmers protested against the 3-Farm Laws, she disassociated herself from BJP but still the alliance is going on secretly.
Saying by Sukhbir Badal that Congress is not getting candidates from Jalalabad, Awla said, perhaps he is not aware of the factual position. He asked the people to vote during the municipal elections without any fear and this time, the old traditions will not be allowed of threatening the candidates. Shortly the names of the candidates in each ward would be announced and new committee will be back to development works.
He assured the citizens that whatever development works are pending, the same will be expedited in the coming time and in case of any problem, the matter may be brought to his notice personally through the concerned councilor.
