Although we stand tall at 69 today in an Independent India, yet we have not been able to access its complete significance. The freedom fighters who gave us the legacy of Independence may no longer be with us, but the onus to build a new, successful country lies with the citizens, particularly the youth of the country. Let every dawn ignite a fire in every Indian soul and make him think what he can do towards the country’s progress.
It was overwhelming to see the little ones come dressed as Freedom Fighters and speaking out their slogans flawlessly. No wonder the land of martyrs, the land of Bhagat Singh displays limit less sparks of patriotic fervour. I thank all the parents for their support and cooperation in preparing the students on this important day.
