Mastermind gang of fake Indian Army recruitment racket busted

Ferozepur November 26, 2018: The Ferozepur police claimed to have busted a mastermind gang of fake Indian Army recruitment identified as Harmandeep Singh alias Deepu of Kot Ise Khan (Moga) and Surinder Singh alias Shindu of Harau, Tehsil Lehra Gaga (Sangrur).

Giving this information, Baljit Sing Sidhu, SP(I), Ferozepur said a tip-off was received from Military Intelligence Ferozepur that Harmandeep Singh, Surinder Singh and Kulwinder Singh are running Physical Fitness Academy who had acquaintance with the senior army officers, take hold of  money from the innocent persons for getting them recruited in the military.

In this context, Des Singh resident of Gagaan had got registered a case at Sadar Police Station Fazilka on November 420 under Sections 420,384,406 and 120-B of IPC.  Des Singh in his complaint has stated that he met Darmpreet Singh alias Kaka of village Pehlu in Faridkot district that Harmandeep, Surinder Singh, Gurmail Singh and Kulwinder Singh have opened Physical Fitness Academy-PFA.  Dharampreet Singh gave his number to Des Singh and asked him to come at Zira Bus Stand along with original certificates and RC number and on meeting at Fortuner vehicle No. PB-13-C-1048 and asked to make arrangements for Rs.2 lac for getting recruitment in the army.

Having trust on him, he handed over his original Matriculation Certificate and Admit Card.  On checking the result on the internet on November 12  but he demanded Rs.2 lac for the return of the documents.

The police team arrested both the accused mastermind gang of fake recruitment of Indian Army recruitment were arrested along with vehicle and the original documents were also found in the dashboard of the vehicle.

SP(D) said, the police remand for both the accused – Harmandeep Singh and Surinder Singh, have been taken after presenting them in the court and further investigations are on to ascertain as to how many people they have cheated for getting them recruited in the Army and more clues are likely to come on the surface.
