Ferozepur, February 14, 2016 : A fighter against drug menace – Mahadev Reddy alias Amandeep Singh- a resident of Karnataka in his own style, was given warm welcome on reaching Mamdot a border town near Ferozepur.

 

After completing thousands miles of journey on his bicycle, Amandeep Singh, during an interaction with the media persons told that he was born in a Hindu family at Bangluru, Karnataka. “I was fascinated towards the Sikh religion so I adopted it. I was renamed as Amandeep Singh, though my family members were against my decision”, he said.

 

Sharing the tragic incident of his life, he said, the death my  young uncle due to usage of drugs was a turning point in my life. I was depressed after my uncle’s death in 2007. He was an alcoholic. I started hating usage of drugs. I wanted to raise my voice but didn’t know how. I started my endless journey from Bangluru in 2008, right after one year of my uncle’s death.

 

Till now, I have travelled more than thousands kilometers covering 24 states India”, Amandeep Singh  revealed

 

Amandeep claimed to know six languages. He also claimed that he has great following on social media including Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter, IMO and other social sites.

 

“During my journey, I saw a lot liquor vends in Punjab which really hurt me. The people of Punjab, which is the land of holy Gurus, five rivers and has rich glorious past, should avoid the usage of any kind of drugs”, said Amandeep.
