Madan Lal Tiwari, Sr. Journalist presides over 3rd Foundation Day celebrations of Press Club, Feozepur
Ferozepur, December 11, 2016 : The Press Club, Ferozepur celebrated its 3rd Foundation Day with great pump and show. Madan Lal Tiwari, Senior Journalist – Chardi Kala – was the Chief Guest of the function, who was given a floral welcome by the members of the Club led by Gurdarshan Singh Arif Ke, Chairman, Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, President.
The celebrations started with the Blood Donation Camp organized in the Press Club and six members donated blood including Jaswinder Singh Sandhu President. The doctors team of Civil Hospital was also honoured on this occasion.
Later, a foundation stone of Guest House and Kitchen, for the extension of club was laid by the Chief Guest, Madan Lal Tiwari.
A Press Club Logo was also fixed up at the crossing near the Press Club premises dedicating the crossing to the public.
Madan Lal Tiwari, Chief Guest – a retired good standing teacher, Editor of a local paper Ferozepur Darshan, has extended blotless service in the field of journalism.
Speaking on the occasion, Tiwari said, he is associated with the journalism since more than two decades but certain journalists have made it a business and lacks in bringing the truth before the public.
Giving a word of advice, Tiwari said, the real purpose of forming of Press Club would be beneficial only unless and until, all journalists are not united at one platform and show the real face of the happenings around the society to give a feedback to the administration for better governance.
On this occasion, all members pledged to work for the betterment of the club to extend all the facilities for the convenience of the members.
The celebrations were followed by Cake cutting with tea party.
