LOCOMOTOR AFFECTED 15-YEARS OLD ANMOL ACTS AS FEROZEPUR DC FOR ONE DAY 

ANMOL GIVES SUGGESTIONS ON POTHOLED ROADS, STRAY CATTLES AND POLLUTION  ISSUES, DC DIRECTS OFFICERS TO ACT ACCORDINGLY 

DC APPOINTS HER BRAND AMBASSADOR OF BETI BACHAO- BETI PADHAO CAMPAIGN

FEROZEPUR, SEPTEMBER 13- The wish of 15-years Anmol affected from Locomotor disease to become a Deputy Commissioner came true on Friday when she was made to feel like Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur and suggested officials to work on eliminating stray cattle and pollution menace besides closely observing the working of deputy commissioner.   

Ferozepur deputy Commissioner Mr Chander Gaind reached Beri' s house in Bank Colony and brought her into his official car to his office where she was given red -carpet welcome and bouquets were given by district officials. 

She was also appointed district brand ambassador of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.

Deputy Commissioner Mr Chander Gaind said that Anmol was suffering from rare disease Locomotor which stopped the growth of her body due to which her height is just 2 feet and 8 inch. He said that Anmol was topped in matriculation with 85.6 percent marks and now studying in 11th class at RSD Raj Ratan Public School. 

Mr Gaind revealed that during a seminar against drugs in the school, he had met the girl and got to know that she had undergone four surgeries. 

"Anmol told me that she wanted to IAS officer following which I told her that i can help her to fulfill her dream of being deputy commissioner for one -day" Mr Gaind added. 

On Friday, Mr Gaind gave a separate chair to his official seat and made her feel like DC. She

closely observed the working of Deputy Commissioner. She also attended several congratulatory calls on the official number of DC. 

On being asked her suggestions to improve civic amenities, She gave five valuable recommendations after which deputy commissioner asked officials to implement her suggestions. 

She asked that potholed roads must be repaired immediately, stray cattle menace and plastic must be eliminated at the earliest following which Mr Gaind said that the tenders of roads have been floated and Government has sanctioned Rs 3 crore for new Cow Shelter where the stray cattle will be shifted.  

Likewise to encourage her confidence, MLA Mr Parminder Singh Pinki reached specially at DC office and saluted her over extraordinary passion of study. 

Later, MLA and DC and Anmol beti visited the Ferozepur Press Club where they handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to the club.
