Jolt to Akali Dal, AAP; 23 families joined Congress
Ferozepur, September 18, 2018: It was a big jolt for the Akali Dal and AAP when 23 families joined the Congress in Zira block of Ferozepur when Panchayat and Block Samit elections are going to be held on September 19.
The families were motivated by Senior Congress leader Bohar Singh Sadar Wala, President and Mohinder Singh Lehra, Chairman.
Among those who joined the Congress were Sukhpal Singh former Sarpanch of AAP, Dr.Sukhchain Singh, Dr.Karaj Singh Member Pancayat, Satnam Singh, member panchayat, Didar Singh, Member panchayat, Sadarwala, Gurbakhsh Singh, Sarabjit Singh Shinapari, Amarjit Singh Niami Wala.
Jathedar Inderjit Singh Zira Chairman Kissan Khet Mazdoor Cell, Punjab and former Minister, welcomed all the leaders and workers and appealed to work jointly as a family besides extending respect to all communities.
Speaking on this occasion, Zira levelled charges on previous Akali-BJP government who had mortgaged all the government offices of the state with the result the economy of the state is imbalanced. During their a decade tenure, the farmers were ignored and there had been no regular payments to them for their produce.
Present on this occasion were Congress Block Samiti member Sukhdev Singh Gatta, Harjinder Singh Khadoor, Balwinder Singh Ghuduwala, Sarpanch Ram Singh Sarhali, Sarpanch Raj Singh Shianpari and Dilbagh Singh Virpal.
