Jolt to AAP in Ferozepur – 50 founder members and volunteers resigned from primary membership
Ferozepur, January 5, 2017 : The Founder and volunteers of Aam Aadmi Party in Ferozepur led by Satnpal Pal Kamboj Advocate – who contested Lok Sabha elections in 2014 from Ferozepur constituency – announced to resign from the primary membership from the party as the party leaders failed to follow the triple “C”formula to select the candidates for Assembly elections being held on February 4.
Speaking to the media persons, Kamboj said, during the Lok Sabha elections these volunteers had worked hard to raise the image of AAP by associated in every programme of AAP at various places.
During last Lok Sabha elections, the dedicated works with sincere efforts and campaigning the AAP party could win 4 seats with 24.5 percent votes were cast in favour of the new party in the state, he said. Out of 13 Lok Sabha candidates, 8 have since left the party and recently one Yamini Gomar on being fed up from the working of AAP, has come to home, he further added.
Talking about the seat allotment in Punjab for Assembly 2017 elections, he said, the senior and old founder members have not been consulted and tickets have been allotted to rich people even by asking for heavy party funds.
He said, with the dictatorial attitude of AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal, the real face of the party has come on surface especially when the Triple “C” formula – crime, character and corruption free – for he new candidates have been ignored. Even the honest leaders like Prashant Bhushan and Hyoginder Yadave have been shown the outdoor.
Even the state president Suchha Singh Chhotepur have been discharged from the party by issuing him a show cause notice by leveling false allegations, said Kamboj.
Kamboj said, I personally brought to the notice of Sanjay Singh on his visit to Ferozepur about the credentials of new candidates, when a case against the AAP candidate from Ferozpepur Narinder Singh Sandha and parachute leader was given the seat in Abohar, Sanjay pointed out, “You should be concerned with your own work and don’t interfere in our work”.
The party standard has gone down to the extent of bribing by offering the position to me and my son in the State Executive Body as Senior Vice President Legal Cell despite my ‘blank’, he pointed out of getting later hour call from Pankaj Ranga incharge for Punjab.
Summing up, Kamboj said, the party has side tracked from its own traditions formed at the time of forming the party and selling the tickets by collecting huge amounts from the candidates being offered the party tickets and launching in Punjab and around 50 members and volunteers have decided to say good bye to the party by resigning from the primary membership and posts permanently.
On asking about the supporting to any other political party, Kamboj said, we will decided in a couple of days and announce shortly. But indications about his intention for no to the SAD-BJP against which the AAP is basically fighting in Punjab and reluctantly, without naming is unconditional support to the Congress.
