Jai Jawan Jai Kissan Party to contest 2017 elections in Punjab
Drug-free Punjab, Minimum graduation for candidate contesting elections among its priorities
Ferozepur, March 13, 2016 : The newly formed Jai Jawan Jai Kissan Party today claimed to contest all the 117 seats during the Assembly elections in Punjab during 2017.
This was disclosed today by Baljit Singh Aulakh, President to the media persons in the presence of Sukhwant Singh (UK) NRI, Incharge Ferozepur and Hardip Sharma, State President Youth Wing.
Present among others were – Darshan Singh Rahal Incharge Ludhiana Zone, Amrinder Singh (Raja Shamiria) President Bhatinda Zone, Daljit Singh Ghuman, Smt.Pushpa Sahni, President, Women Wing Ludhiana, Kulwinder Sing, Gurmej. Manjinder Singh and Michel Bhatti.
Despite the party being in its infancy, have high hopes and expectations to serve the people of Punjab.
Speaking to the media persons, Baljit Singh Aulakh – who has educational background with Phd and M.Tech said, our party came into existence during August 2014 and was approved by the Election Commission of India on January 6, 2015. The JJJK party has already constituted its wings in Patiala, Fatehgarhsahib, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur and Bhatinda and today at Ferozepur.
He said, I want to utilize my education in its real sense.
He further said, we have formed the part for a change as despite 70 years of our independence, the governments have not been able to create jobs for the unemployed youths.
Talking about the priorities, he said, out priority will be to make drug free Punjab, approval within one months for setting up industry in Punjab, abolition of TET test for entry in education department, education loan on zero percent, reservation on economic basis, minimum graduation qualification for the candidate, free power supply to only small farmers with 3-4 acres land, no decree for non-payment of loan by the farmers rather stress for third crop between wheat and paddy period, to repay the loan, decision in rape cases within one month, Rs.1000 allowance to girls upto 18 years.
Aulakh said, we will announce the candidates for all the 117 seats in Punjab for 2017 elections during October.
On asking about his political background, he said, he had worked with AAP for only two months and left on account of differences on its style of working. Kejriwal party is now not the part of the common man, he added.
Sukhwant Singh (UK) NRI, Incharge Ferozepur said, I will contest the election from Ferozepur and in the event of any alliance situation, we will have only with the party which has equation with our ideology to serve the people practically.
Accusing the present government for shifting of various industrialists from Punjab, he said, there are number of Punjabi NRIs interested to invest in Punjab but being fed up from the existing system reluctant due to lengthy official formalities for getting approval to set-up the industry.
