Ferozepur, February 25, 2023: Indian Army has announced some changes in Agniveer recruitment process, for wider and better outreach across the country, to reduce large crowds assembling at recruiting rallies and reduce the administrative arrangements therein as the process will become more streamlined, simpler for candidates to appear and is in synchronized with the current technological advancement of the country, said Director Recruitment, Col Sorabh Charan while addressing the media persons, adding the online registration for Agniveer Army recruitment will continue till March 15.
Col said, in the changed process, the youth aspirant for joining the army from this year will first take the online Common Entrance Exam (Common Entrance Exam ) and from the Joint Entrance Exam Physical recruitment rally of successful candidates will be the same as before. The details of the rally venue and date will be announced separately and 176 Kedars have been set up across the country and each youth can choose five Kedars to take the exam.
In this regard, Director Recruitment, Colonel Sorabh Charan said that the online exams will start from April 17 and the online registration for Agniveer Army recruitment has started which will continue till 15th March 2023 . All interested candidates who want to join Indian Army as Agniveer can apply online on Indian Army official website- www.joinindianarmy.nic.in through Aadhaar card or 10th class certificate. Having adequate educational qualification all eligible unmarried male/female candidates born between October 01 , 2002 to April 01 , 2006 ( both dates inclusive) Agniveer (General Duty, Agniveer Tradesman ( 8th & 10thPass), Agniveer Clerk/Storekeeper Technical, Agniveer Technical (In All), Agniveer General Duty (Women Military Police) categories can apply. Applications are also invited from eligible male candidates for Sepoy Technical (Nursing Assistant/Nursing Assistant Veterinary) and Sepoy Pharma categories.
He further said that the Joint Entrance Examination will be conducted on a computer. Information in this regard has been given on the website of the Indian Army and YouTube. Apart from this, a practice test will also be available on the website. He said that the fee for the combined entrance exam is Rs.500 out of which Rs.250 is paid by the government and the young candidates can pay the fee through UPI/BHIM or credit and debit card or any major bank. Roll numbers will be issued to candidates only after successful registration.
Col said, the admit cards for the joint entrance examination will be issued to the candidates on the said website 10 to 14 days before on their registered e-mail ID and also through SMS on registered mobile. He said that the final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the combined entrance test and physical test.
