Ferozepur, May 18, 2017:  Now, one can have his own postal stamp also in his anthology. Surprised? Yes, it is true.  Almost a year old scheme of the India Post – ‘My Stamp’ – a brand name for personalized sheets of postage stamps – has started getting momentum.

My Stamp has helped India Post to receive Rs.2 crore in fiscal 2016-27 and total revenue from My Stamp fiscal in 2015-16 was of Rs.2.83 crore.

Parkash Singh, Superintendent Post Office, Ferozepur Circle when approached for My Stamp to be presented on birthday of son of one of my friend, said, “Stamp collection is one such hobby which has touched almost everyone during his school days. Many of them have carried it on for life even. Since the collection of any new stamp has always been a priced possession for the collector for various reasons but the most important is on whom the stamp has been released? The collector feels honoured to have a stamp of a famous personality in his/her collection”.

He told that that the price for a 'My Stamp' sheet containing 12 personalised stamps is Rs. 300. One can choose from various sheets having different flowers to print the stamp. After publication the photograph will appear along with the flower. The stamp is in the denomination of Five Rupees. So go ahead and get yourself immortalized. At the same time do not forget to present one such surprise as a gift to the one you love.

He further shared that India Post is coming at par with the banking sector with the installation of ATMs now inter-connected with the other banks and has been judged among the first five banking institutions during the demonetization move in India.
