Urges Centre for Urgent Relief Package for Flood-Ravaged Punjab<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ferozepur\/Fazilka, September 8, 2025: <\/strong>\u00a0Sandosh Kumar P., Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Leader of the Communist Party of India in the Upper House, has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, appealing for a special relief package for flood-affected regions of Punjab.<\/p>\n<p>In his letter, Mr. Kumar recounted the devastation he witnessed during his recent visit to Fazilka district, one of the worst-hit areas. He described the scene as catastrophic: vast stretches of farmland submerged under water, complete crop failure, widespread loss of livestock, and homes reduced to rubble.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting the urgency of the situation, Mr. Kumar called on the Union Government to respond with compassion and immediacy.
