Farmers to approach non-BJP MPs on July 7 in country to raise their issues in Parliament<\/p>\n

Will ask lawmakers to introduce Private Member\u2019s Bill<\/p>\n

Ferozepur, July 7, 2024:\u00a0 Thousands of farmers under the banner of of Sayunkt Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Morcha – the farmer outfits, will submit a memorandum to the newly elected MPs in opposition against NDA – other than 240 non-BJP MPs \u2013 on July 7, in the different 12-13 states in the country, with a demand to the lawmakers to raise their issues, in the coming Monsoon Session of Parliament on July 22, to introduce Private Member\u2019s Bill for guarantee of minimum support price (MSP) for all crops with special time for debate over this bill during the session.<\/p>\n

The memorandums will be given to MPs – in Punjab 13 MPs, in Haryana at 5 places, in Rajasthan at 11 places, in UP at 20 places, in MP at 2, in Bihar at 6, and also in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.<\/p>\n

He further said that the Parliament Monsoon Session is starting on July 22 and the budget will be presented on July 23.\u00a0 We urge the Prime Minister and Finance Minister to keep a special budget for the MPS guarantee law besides budge on debt waiver of farmers, subsidy on diesel, and provision for research budget for new types of seeds as presently we are being given the seeds by the Corporate Houses, based on researches on the foreign lands and riverisation which involves\u00a0connecting rivers that are geographically close but have different water levels or flow patterns as this connection allows for better utilization of water resources.\u00a0 Besides, a provision in the budget for cooperative farming should also be kept.<\/p>\n

Pandher in his video message said, we will see on July 8 as to what type of assurance these MPs give to the farmer representatives.<\/p>\n

Appealing to the farmers in the country to join in submitting the memorandums to the MPs, the farmer leader Pandher said, we wish that special provisions in the budget be kept to meet the long pending demands of the farmers for which they are protesting and camping at Shambhu border.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
