Farmer leaders appeal to move to \u00a0Shambhu border on June 2, after voting<\/p>\n

Ferozepur, May 31, 2025: Sarwan Singh Pandher, who has been leading the Shambu Morcha, from day one on February 13, in his video message shared has appealed to the voters in Punjab to cast their vote on June 1 for Lok Sabha Elections but do remember the condition of farmers community, before pressing the voting button.<\/p>\n

The farmer’s protest at the Shambhu border has entered 110th<\/sup>\u00a0day today even during 47 degrees Celsius temperature.\u00a0 The farmers were stopped entering Delhi by barricading the national highways, to register our protest on various issues, major among them \u2013 the release of three farmers held by the Haryana government, guarantee for MSP, 200 days\u2019 work for labourers, waving of debt of farmers.<\/p>\n

As of now, 22 farmers have died, including two women and a 22-year-old youth, Shubhkaran Singh, who was shot at on the Khanauri border on February 21.\u00a0 Besides 35 other farmers have suffered injuries and among them was Jaskaran (17 yrs) who lost his right arm in a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

Pandher also asked the farmers from across the state to join the Morcha, after casting a vote on their tractors and trollies on June 2, to continue the protest until our demands are accepted.<\/p>\n

Accusing the BJP and RSS of creating a division between the Hindus and Sikhs and fissures among Dalits and upper class, to win the general elections and threatening to implicate the leaders and send them to Dibrugarh jail after the election is over, Pandher said, before voting on June 1, these factors must be given a second thought.<\/p>\n

Tajveer Singh, BKU spokesperson said, the spirit of farmers is high even in the high temperature and they are enduring the soaring heat with remarkable resilience and community support by creating a self-sustaining environment with the contribution of the villagers of the nearby district at the Shambhu border.<\/p>\n
