Ferozepur, May 19, 2024:\u00a0 The sacrifice of 20 people including two women, \u00a0is a big price during the farmers\u2019 protest, under the banner of\u00a0Kisan\u00a0Mazdoor\u00a0Morcha\u00a0(KMM) and Samyukta Misan Morcha (Non-Political), who had been protesting at the\u00a0Shambhu\u00a0and\u00a0Khanauri\u00a0borders ever since February 13, \u00a0when the\u00a0Centre\u00a0government is still silent over the main two issues \u2013 release of three farmers arrested by Haryana government and legal guarantee for minimum support price (MSP) for crops.<\/p>\n

May 21 :\u00a0Kisan\u00a0Mahapanchayat\u00a0in\u00a0Jagraon<\/p>\n

May 22: Big congregation at Shambhu and\u00a0Khanauri\u00a0borders on completion of 100 days<\/p>\n

May 26: BKU (Ekta\u00a0Ugrahan), along with\u00a0labourers, employees and student groups at\u00a0Baranala<\/p>\n

20 person sacrifice price in farmers’ protests \u2013 18 males, 2 females<\/p>\n

Shubhkaram Singh (21) of\u00a0Balloh\u00a0is the youngest to sacrifice<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tajveer\u00a0Panjokhra\u00a0from Ambala said, among those who sacrificed their lives were 18 males and two females with Shubhkaram Singh (21) as the youngest and a victim of bullets during the agitation at the\u00a0Shambhu\u00a0and\u00a0Khanauri\u00a0borders.\u00a0 He is reported to have been allegedly killed by a bullet from the Haryana side on February 21.\u00a0 However, a zero FIR was lodged with no further action.\u00a0Shubhkaram\u00a0is associated with the BKU Sidhupur farmer union and is survived by his two sisters, grandmother, father and mother having only around 3 acres of farmland.<\/p>\n

SKM (Sanhyukt\u00a0Kisan\u00a0Morcha) is to hold its\u00a0Kisan\u00a0Mahapanchayat\u00a0in Jagraon on May 21. The farmer\u2019s outfits have announced to hold a big congregation at the\u00a0Shambhu\u00a0and\u00a0Khanauri\u00a0borders on May 22 on the completion of 100 days of their protest on\u00a0Punjab-Haryana\u00a0borders.\u00a0\u00a0 While farmers’\u00a0organisation\u00a0BKU (Ekta Ugrahan), along with\u00a0labourers, employees and student groups, has planned a rally in Barnala on May 26.<\/p>\n
