Ferozepur<\/span>, April 24, 2024:\u00a0 It is day 7 of Rail Roko at Shambu station and the continuation of the farmer’s protest on the railway tracks affected nearly 112 trains.<\/p>\n

As per the information, the railway has to cancel 44 trains, divert 64 trains, \u00a0short-terminate 2 trains and short-originate 2 trains in the Ambala<\/span> division of Northern Railways, which include important trains, causing inconvenience to the passengers and huge loss to the railway.<\/p>\n

Swarn<\/span> Singh Pandher<\/span>, representative of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, Punjab said, our protest for the release of farmers held by Haryana police would continue and there will be huge gatherings on May 1 Labour<\/span> Day.<\/p>\n

The farmers are demanding the release of three fellow protesters \u2013 Navdeep<\/span> Singh, Anish Khatkar and Gurkirat Singh, who were arrested in February and March by the Haryana police. They are also demanding that a special gurdwara<\/span> be conducted by the state government to assess the crops suffered by farmers in hailstorms that lashed many parts of the state recently and compensation on this account.
