{"id":29699,"date":"2024-02-26T19:33:28","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T14:03:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ferozepuronline.com\/?p=29699"},"modified":"2024-02-26T19:33:28","modified_gmt":"2024-02-26T14:03:28","slug":"108-cases-registered-under-mining-act-in-14-months-131-held-in-ferozepur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ferozepuronline.com\/?p=29699","title":{"rendered":"108 cases registered under Mining Act in 14 months, 131 held in Ferozepur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29700\" src=\"https:\/\/ferozepuronline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/sand-mining-file-photo_fzr-1-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ferozepuronline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/sand-mining-file-photo_fzr-1-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ferozepuronline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/sand-mining-file-photo_fzr-1.jpg 550w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>File Photo<\/p>\n<p>108 cases registered under Mining Act in 14 months, 131 held in <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Ferozepur\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lt30cu3cr0dnreqtd\">Ferozepur<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Ferozepur\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lt30cu6c4mnzkv94k\">Ferozepur<\/span>, February 26, 2024:\u00a0 In a major crackdown on illegal mining, under the Mining Act, as many as 108 cases were registered in <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Ferozepur\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lt309qs3vx6ckqanp\">Ferozepur<\/span> district 131 accused were held during the period from1.20.23 to 25.2.2024.<\/p>\n<p>Divulging with details, SSP Soumya Mishra said that out of the total 108 cases, 26 cases have been put in court, one has been <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"cancelled\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lt309qvihdmvpa76y\">cancelled<\/span> and 81 are under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>In all 131 accused were arrested \u2013 14 owners of land, 117 owners of vehicles.\u00a0 In addition, 106 vehicles -72 tractor trolleys, 20 tippers, 10 earth excavating JCB machines, and 4 other vehicles were impounded from the spots besides 1,09,985 sq. ft. material was also seized.<\/p>\n<p>According to information, in the cases under investigation, the police were in touch with the concerned departments to identify the owner of the land where the accused were doing excavation.
