Ferozepur, February 2, 2024:\u00a0 Despite three-layer security arrangements at the entry points and outside the open space near the boundary wall, the throwing of packets over the high walls inside the jail remained unnoticed.<\/p>\n

As many as 4 throws were managed inside the jail and on opening one mobile and 38 sachets of tobacco were seized.\u00a0 Further on a search operation conducted by Sukhinder Singh, Assistant Superintendent, in block number 3, barrack number 5, one mobile touch screen with a SIM Card was found dumped on the backside in the open space.<\/p>\n

Earlier, during January, 65 mobiles and various prohibited items were seized and the recovery of mobiles had gone up to 500 during the last year.\u00a0More stringent measures have to be adopted to plug the smuggling of banned items.<\/p>\n
