data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xwj7c4fjn58f4u\">Ferozepur<\/span>, January 8, 2024:\u00a0 The Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) were carried out, on the directions of Parveen Kumar Sinha, <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"ADGP\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxg6rlac0971a\">ADGP<\/span>\/NRI, Punjab, DIG Ranjeet Dhillon and SSP\u00a0 Vivek Sheel Soni, under the leadership of Chief Minister, Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann,\u00a0 to check the nefarious activities of anti-social elements and drug peddlers in the drug infected <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"hotspots\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxg42itt8ou47\">hotspots<\/span> to nab the bad elements disturbing the social fabric of the society.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CASO OUTCOME<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>47 persons rounded up<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>253 vehicles checked<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>10 persons including 2 POs arrested<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>12 <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"FIRs\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xwr6jhr5yn3ew6\">FIRs<\/span> registered<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Recovered<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>160 gm heroin<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>170 narcotic pills<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>96.750 ltr illicit liquor<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>1 working still<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>4 motorcycles<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The search operations were conducted in <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Ferozepur\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxl0bdyai1xq7\">Ferozepur<\/span>, <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Guruharsahai\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxl0qra3x372y\">Guruharsahai<\/span>, <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Zira\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxkymnoxn8z1e\">Zira<\/span> and <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Kulgarhi\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxkxaw0kv26vu\">Kulgarhi<\/span> Sub-divisions by 2 SPs, 4 <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"DSPs\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxkvgahjn9x4z\">DSPs<\/span> and 16 Inspectors, and 415 <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"NGOs\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxku1o0uv73g8\">NGOs<\/span>\/<span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"EPOs\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxktpnnxw6azs\">EPOs<\/span> police personnel, were deployed in various teams throughout the district.<\/p>\n<p>The responsibility to executive this operation was entrusted under the supervision of \u00a0Randhir Kumar, SP(Investigation) along with Sohan Lal, SP by the special teams constituted to launch the special campaign for search operations at the important buildings, railway stations, bus stands, hotels etc by blocking the main points in the district against the anti-social elements, drug traffickers etc.<\/p>\n<p>Under this campaign in the areas of Basti Shekhan Wali, Basti Bhatia Wali at <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Ferozepur\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxokita56e59g\">Ferozepur<\/span>, <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Basti\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxojl7k1mns4w\">Basti<\/span> Guru <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Karam\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxojy9g5ajydr\">Karam<\/span> Singh at <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Guruarsahai\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxoixr7utpfcl\">Guruarsahai<\/span>, <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Basti\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxohmuipopjdu\">Basti<\/span> <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Machian\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxohu1e749exu\">Machian<\/span> at <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Zira\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxoglon2klnfu\">Zira<\/span>, Village Sher Khan under police station <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Kulgarhi\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxofdcbc4fve8\">Kulgarhi<\/span> in <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Ferozepur\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxofo28imqce4\">Ferozepur<\/span> Rural division.<\/p>\n<p>ADGP Sinha said\u00a0this is a search operation, specific information and the targeted base is a part of the action to make Punjab a drug and crime-free state. It is an action against those involved in serious drug smuggling trade and drug pushing at the street level. In <span class=\"scayt-misspell-word\" data-scayt-word=\"Ferozepur\" data-wsc-lang=\"en_US\" data-wsc-id=\"lr4xvxsbu30mszncs\">Ferozepur<\/span>, certain colonies have been targeted with around 100 cops and it is hoped that this operation against drug smugglers and proclaimed offenders, will have a good impact on the area which is infamous, will help in cleaning and put it on the right path.<\/p>\n<p>Divulging with the details, Randhir Kumar, SP(I) informed that in all 47 persons were rounded up 253 vehicles were checked and 8 persons were arrested against 12 FIRs registered today after the CAS Operation with the recovery of 160 gm heroin 170 narcotic pills, 4 motorcycles, 96.750 ltr illicit liquor, 1 working still and arrested of two proclaimed offenders (POs).<\/p>\n<p>He said, the district police is fully prepared to eradicate anti-social elements, criminals, drug smugglers and other bad elements. People should contact local police for help without hesitation and share all information about such bad elements to keep society safe.
