Fire breaks out in record of \u00a0Excise and Taxation Deptt in Ferozepur<\/p>\n

Ferozepur, November 1, 2023: A massive fire broke out in the record room of the Excise and Taxation Department\u00a0in\u00a0Ferozepur\u00a0today around 4 p.m.<\/p>\n

Had the fire-breaking incident been after office hours, there would have been a huge loss of damage to old records stored in the rooms.\u00a0 In the past, there have been incidents of fire in this building.<\/p>\n

One record room on the ground floor was gutted in fire and fire flames and smoke was coming out of the windows.\u00a0 However, the fire tender reached to douse the flames. Before the arrival of the fire tender, the records in rooms were destroyed.\u00a0 However, it was controlled.\u00a0 Police also rushed to the spot and further investigations are underway.<\/p>\n

According to the excise official, the old record up to 2015 and of GST was reported to be dumped in the rooms where the fire took place. \u00a0\u00a0The police authorities were also informed about this.\u00a0 However, the cause of the fire could not be ascertained.<\/p>\n

The condition of the excise and taxation office building is very dilapidated and hardly there is any maintenance.\u00a0 The short circuit could be the cause of the fire in the record room.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
