14 drug smugglers\u2019 Rs.7,93,36,450 cr illegal property freezed<\/p>\n

Ferozepur, October 18, 2023:\u00a0 The Ferozepur police is active in its \u2018Anti-Drug Drive\u2019 rict and doing a tremendous job against drug abuse and showing no let-up in its mission to create a drug-free environment in the district.<\/p>\n

The action of freezing the property of drug smugglers has been initiated for the first time to ensure that the empire raised by the drug smugglers from the narcotic trade is hit hard beyond their imagination.<\/p>\n

By targeting both movable and immovable assets of drug smugglers, the Police have given a significant financial blow to the drug business, send a message that drug peddling would not be tolerated.\u00a0 The people of the district are appreciating Police action and urged the Police to continue their mission, which can save the lives of scores of youth involved in drug addiction.<\/p>\n

With the freezing of one more illegal property of drug smuggler Pramjit Singh alias Pamma of Rukne \u00a0Wala under Mallanwala police station, valuing Rs.25 lac \u00a0under NDPS Act 1985 Section 68-F(2) after orders from the Competent Authority at Delhi, \u00a0during the year 2023, the total illegal property to the tune of Rs. 7,93,36,450 in 16 cases have been freezed so far.<\/p>\n

Divulging with details, SSP Deepak Hillori said, a notice outside the house of Gaurav involved in the intoxicant drugs trade, has been pasted. A case against him was registered during January 2021 under NDPS Act at Sadar police station Moa with recovery of 1,350 Tramadol hhdrochloride tablets and the case is to court.\u00a0 The house constructed over 7.5 marla land valuing Rs.25 lacs with illegal means has been freezed.<\/p>\n

He said, 14 drug smugglers cases for getting freezing orders of their property under NDPS Act has been sent to the Competent Authority New Delhi and 15 more such cases in the pipeline and we are working on the same.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
