Make best use of Rs.300 cr spent on Ferozepur-Fazilka-Abohar-Ganganagar<\/span> Section<\/p>\n

Abohar<\/span>\/Ferozepur<\/span>, October 6, 2023: The Samaj<\/span> Sudhar<\/span> Sabah and Railway Sangharsh<\/span> Samiti<\/span> have demanded Abohar-Sadulshahar<\/span> (Matili<\/span>) \u00a0rail connectivity.<\/p>\n

Both the social organizations have written a letter to the Railway Minister, Govt of India, New Delhi, demanding laying the railway line from Abohar<\/span> to Sardulshehar<\/span> (Matili<\/span>) and increase in routes of trains on Fazilka-Abohar<\/span> and Fazilka-Ferozepur<\/span> Sections.<\/p>\n

Rajesh Gupta, President and Convenor of NGOs has stated that laying a new railway line of 28 kilometers distance from Abohar<\/span> to Sadul<\/span> city (Matili<\/span>) has been reiterated. Shri<\/span> Gupta said that when there was a struggle at the district level regarding the laying of Abohar<\/span> Fazilka<\/span> rail line, the demand for laying a new rail line from Abohar<\/span> to Matili<\/span> Sadulshahr<\/span> was also raised by the people of the area. Now when the current Central Government is renovating the railways and laying a network of railway tracks across the country, then in such a situation the Railway Ministry should pay special attention to this small route and start it soon. Besides, this short route can also become a major source of income for the Railways, because by laying this short route, passengers and businessmen of Punjab, Haryana<\/span> and Rajasthan will also benefit from it.<\/p>\n

The NGOs have further demanded that \u00a0Abohar<\/span> to Fazilka<\/span> and Ferozepur<\/span> and Firozpur<\/span> to Fazilka<\/span>, Abohar<\/span>, Sri Ganganagar<\/span> sections should be open for 24 hours. Only two trains are running on the Fazilka<\/span> to Abohar<\/span> section, whereas more than Rs 300 crore has been spent on this section.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
