Ferozepur<\/span>, July 26, 2023:\u00a0 The Ferozepur<\/span> police have arrested as many as 14 persons in the district from different locations under NDPS<\/span> and Excise Acts with recovery of heroin, illicit liquor and habit forming drugs.<\/p>\n

As per the information, the accused arrested are – Avtar<\/span> Singh of\u00a0 Tarn Taran<\/span> with 200 gm heroin, Ramesh<\/span> Kumar alias Mesha<\/span> with 20 gm heroin, Patras alias Mintu<\/span> Singh of Tarn Taran<\/span> with 100 gm heroin, Charanjit<\/span> Singh alias Babbu<\/span> of Talwandi<\/span> Bhai<\/span> in Ferozepur<\/span> with 22 gm heroin, Rajvinder<\/span> Singh alias Harjinder<\/span> Singh of Mudki<\/span> in Ferozepur<\/span> with 12 gm, Kuldipl<\/span> Singh alias Pidi<\/span> with 18 gm, Gurlal<\/span> Singh of Gamewala<\/span> in Ferozepur<\/span> with 10 gm and Angrez<\/span> Singh alias Saini<\/span> with 200 habit forming drugs, Luvpreet<\/span> Singh of Mohkam<\/span> Wala<\/span> in Makhu<\/span> with 40 gm, Jaswinder<\/span> Singh alias Kala and Paramjit<\/span> Singh of Dulo<\/span> Ke in Ferozepur<\/span> with 50 bottles of illicit liquor, Angrez<\/span> Singh of Zira<\/span> with 200 habit forming drug tablets and Jagsir<\/span> Singh alias Gora with 21 illegal liquor bottles and Desa<\/span> of Norang<\/span> Ke Syal<\/span> with 50 bottles of illicit liquor.\u00a0 All have<\/span> been booked under the various relevant sections of IPC at the concerned police stations and further investigations are with the IOs.<\/p>\n

In all, 422 gm heroin and 271 illicit liquor bottles and 200 habit forming drugs were recovered. SSP said, the anti-drug campaign will be the priority of the police and it will be a regular feature to make the district drug free.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
