Ferozepur, May 8, 2023: On getting no dues even after 9 years of retirement by putting in 38 years\u2019 service as Secretary Bahumatri Cooperative Agriculture Service Society, Sat Pal Singh Bedi, who retired on 30.11.2014, has sit on fast-unto-death, outside the office of the Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Societies.<\/p>\n

Bedi said he is not getting justice to get his arrears despite a decision of the Joint Registrar on January 10, 2023, who had asked for immediate action. He said, because of the connivance of the present Secretary and President, no action has been taken so far and the total balance is around Rs.15 lacs.\u00a0\u00a0 He however, informed that at the time of retirement, the stock worth Rs.4.88 lacs was handed over to the new secretary which has been reportedly embezzled and despite informing the department no action was taken.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Gursatveer Singh, Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Society clarified that we have forwarded the report received from JRCS to the Committee but no action has been taken so far and the Inspector has reported to this effect. He said, the dues will be paid shortly as per the record after making deductions.
