Alert jail staff seize 11 mobiles from Ferozepur Central Jail<\/p>\n

\nFerozepur, March 17, 2023:\u00a0 In a surprise search operation conducted inside the Ferozepur Central Jail complex, the prison staff recovered as many as 11 mobile phones here on Friday.<\/p>\n

Giving the details,\u00a0Gurnam\u00a0Lal, Superintendent Jail said, on Friday,\u00a0 before lockout, a surprise search of the old barrack number 4 and 11 was conducted under the supervision of Additional Superintendent\u00a0Harpreet\u00a0Singh along with the jail guard.<\/p>\n

He said, during search of old barrack number 4, three touchscreen mobiles were recovered as unclaimed. Similarly, during search of old barrack 11, three touchscreen mobiles, 3 keypad mobiles were recovered as unclaimed, one keypad mobile phone was recovered from under trial Karan son of\u00a0Partap\u00a0and one keypad mobile phone was recovered from under trial\u00a0Ramesh\u00a0son of\u00a0Chhinderpal.<\/p>\n

Superintendent Jail said, local SHO City\u00a0Ferozepur\u00a0is being informed for necessary legal action and to ascertain as to how the prisoners managed to get the banned material inside the jail.<\/p>\n

He further said, the vigil jail staff has thwarted various attempts with recovery of mobiles, in the past also, to avoid its misuse from inside the jail.
