Ahead Kite flying season, police seize 336 Chinese thread rolls, one held<\/p>\n

Ferozepur<\/span>, December 10, 2022: The traders have started stocking banned Chinese thread ahead of kite flying season.\u00a0 The Ferozepur<\/span> Police on a tip-off, have swooped down on Chinese thread sellers and recovered as many as 5,820336 Chinese thread rolls (gattu<\/span>) with the arrest of Pawan<\/span> Kumar.<\/p>\n

The people, who have sustained injuries in the past due to the Chinese string, have sought a complete curb on the sale of such products as despite its ban, it is easily available in the market.\u00a0 Since the Chinese thread made up of metallic substances\u00a0 is harmful, if it comes in contact with overhead wires, it can cause a blackout in the area.\u00a0 It is also a good conductor of electricity so it can lead to electrocution of the user if entangled with electric wires.<\/p>\n

The district administration had already banned the sale and stock of the China-made thread, which is dangerous for both humans and animals. The police force is out on a drive, checking different parts of the city looking for illegal sellers.<\/p>\n

SSP Ferozepur<\/span> Kanwardeep<\/span> Kaur<\/span> informed that \u00a0a tip-off was received \u00a0by the police party during the routine patrolling by a team headed by SI Sukhchair<\/span> Singh that a huge quantity of Chinese plastic thread has been stored by Pawan<\/span> Kumar of Basti<\/span> Bhattia<\/span> Wali<\/span> in Gali<\/span> Chibbian<\/span> Wali<\/span> and now taking for its sale to the innocent persons by misguiding them.<\/p>\n

She said, the police party working on the in-puts, arrested one person identified as Pawan<\/span> Kumar and 7 boxes, each containing 48 rolls (gattu<\/span>) \u2013 total 336 rolls – were recovered from him.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, acase<\/span> under Section 188420 IPC, 39\/51 of Wild Life Protection Act 1972, 15 of Environment Protection Act 1986 has been registered at PS Ferozepur<\/span> City.\u00a0 The accused Pawan<\/span> Kumar will be produced in the Court to get remand and more clues with regard to purchase and sale of Chinese thread are likely to come on surface, said SSP.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
