Old Students Association for Blind concludes Ramayana Path reading in Braille<\/p>\n

District and Sessions Judge joined the event with family<\/p>\n

Ferozepur<\/span>, October 16, 2022:\u00a0 The Old Students Association of Blind of North India organized a two-day Ramayana Path reading in Braille at the campus of Home for the Blind, which was concluded today.\u00a0 Virinder<\/span> Aggarwal<\/span>, District and Sessions Judge, Ferozepur<\/span> along with his family and Ekta<\/span> Uppal<\/span>, CJM-cum-Secretary<\/span>, District Legal Services Authority especially joined the event.<\/p>\n

Every year, the Ramayana Path is arranged by the inmates of Home for the Blinds in this border town by reading in Braille \u2013 six dots raised on paper invented by Louis Braille and today the event was concluded.<\/p>\n

Ashwani<\/span> Sharma, Secretary, Ramesh<\/span> Sethi<\/span>, Manager welcoming the guests for joining the Ramayana Path.\u00a0 Visually impaired Anil Gupta, Lecturer was instrumental in making the association of old students and organising<\/span> the various events.<\/p>\n

Around a hundred visually impaired persons, from various parts of North India besides various representatives of NGOs, gathered in the campus of Home for the Blind \u2013 an institution established in 1954 by Dr.Sadhu Chand<\/span> Vinayak<\/span> a philanthropist of that time \u2013 to participate in the Ramayana Path.\u00a0 Presently, 42 inmates are staying in the campus, out of which 30 are pursuing Plus One onwards, education from the college.<\/p>\n

Virinder<\/span> Aggarwal<\/span> congratulated for organizing the Ramayan<\/span> Path in the campus, saying that organising<\/span> such events with the involvement of locals and management members, give boost to the inmates, which gives them a feeling of part of the society.<\/p>\n

Expressing pleasures over the management of the Home for the Blind helping the inmates for higher studies and joining the government job against the reservation for the last number of decades, Virinder<\/span> Aggarwal<\/span>, said, it is more pleasing that visually impaired inmates are enjoying the free lodging and boarding from various other States and as told, around 30 inmates have joined the government job in the recent past.\u00a0 He also wished them a Happy Diwali.<\/p>\n

Ekta<\/span> Uppal<\/span>, CJM who had been a regular visitor to the institution, is a guiding force for the development of the institution and creating awareness among them from time to time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
