Ferozepur, September 4, 2022: For the third consecutive year, the Mayank Foundation(MF) \u00a0\u2013 a leading NGO of Ferozepur \u2013 handed over cheque of Rs.10,000 each to the 39 eligible PRATIBHA Scholarships of 2020, 2021 and 2022, at a simple and impressive ceremony held at Dev Samaj College of Education(Women). \u00a0 The event was organized under the tutelage of Deputy Commissioner, Amrit Singh as a flagship programme of the government Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.<\/div>\n

Rattandeep Sandhu District Programme Officer presided over the event as Chief Guest and Dr.Rajwinder Kaur, Principal, Dev Samaj College of Education (Women) \u00a0as Guest of Honour when Patrons \u2013 Vijay Behal, Tehsildar, Ashok Behal, Secretary Red Cross Society, Harish Monga Social Activist and Author, Dr.Sheel Sethi and Principal Rajesh Mehta were also present.<\/div>\n

Rakesh Kumar, Secretary MF said we under the able guidance of our President Dr. Anirudh Gupta , \u00a0adding 13 students every year after following a strenuous task of scrutinizing the antecedents of over a thousand of applicants for Pratibha scholarship to encourage higher education. \u00a0 The applicants have been scrutinized by the committee for the purpose of visiting the students to assess the financial and social condition of the applicants.<\/div>\n

Rattandeep Sandhu, DPO – \u00a0appreciating the initiative of the Mayank Foundation \u2013 assured assistance from the district administration.\u00a0 She said, these 2-3 years are very crucial and all must concentrate on their studies, to fulfill your dreams by acquiring higher education and it is only your own property which cannot be stolen by anyone but will help in targeting the opportunity to get a job.\u00a0 She also \u00a0advised the students to show their excel in return of your selection for the scholarship.\u00a0 After completing their higher education and joining the services, she said, they should continue to be associated with the Mayank Foundation to help more such students who cannot afford higher education.<\/div>\n
