Health Deptt celebrates World Malaria Day<\/p>\n
Theme 2022: Harness Innovation to Reduce Malaria Disease Burden and Save Lives<\/p>\n
Ferozepur, April 25, 2022: A week-long programme from April 18-25, was held to celebrate World Malaria Day were held all the government hospitals in the district, and the district level functions at civil hospital which was presided over by Dr.Rajinder Arora, Civil Surgeon.\u00a0 The theme of 2022 was – Harness Innovation to Reduce Malaria Disease Burden and Save Lives.<\/p>\n
Dr.Rajinder said, the Punjab govt has launched Malaria Elimination Campaign to get rid of malaria.<\/p>\n
He said that malaria fever is caused by the bite of a female anopheles mosquito, fever with chills and chills, high fever, vomiting, headache, and feeling weak after sweating and sweating are the symptoms of malaria. To prevent diseases like malaria, we should not allow water to accumulate around the houses, spray black oil once a week in standing water in ponds, and wear clothes that cover the body completely so that you are not bitten by mosquitoes. We may also use mosquito nets, mosquito repellent creams, and oils at bedtime.<\/p>\n

Dr. Yuvraj Narang, District Epidemiologist said that if any patient has any of the above symptoms, he should immediately undergo his test and treatment at the nearest government health facility which is provided free of cost. Radical treatment is necessary to treat malaria patients so that malaria parasites can be destroyed in the patient. In this function, Dr.Rakesh Pal, District Epidemiologist, also raised awareness about malaria.<\/p>\n
During the function, the children who came first, second and third\u00a0in the drawing competition related to World Malaria Day\u00a0were honoured and the staff who did a good and commendable job were also facilitated.<\/p>\n
Ranjiv Sharma, District Mass Media Officer, and Satpal Singh, MPHV (Mail) officiated the function.
