ACTA, Punjab submits memorandum to Education Minister for Commerce as mainstream of education<\/p>\n

Ferozepur, April 8, 2022: Aspirants for Commerce Teaching Association (ACTA), Punjab has appealed to the Education Minister, Gurmeet \u00a0Singh Hayer, \u00a0to bring the neglected stream of Commerce into the mainstream of education, which would be accompanied by setting new records in the future with ample employment opportunities for the Punjabi youth.<\/p>\n

Kushal Singhi, Convener ACTA said, In global scenario & need of the hour, commerce stream must be introduced with at least two commerce lecturer in all senior secondary school run by state Govt. With the present set-up, there is a limited scope of Commerce education for 31049 students in 511 government schools of Punjab. \u00a0Presently, 341 posts are lying vacant out of 1168 sanctioned posts under border & non-border schools.<\/p>\n

He said we have also sought the time from the Education Minister to apprise him of the plus points of the spread of commerce education. This will develop the skill in marketing, banking, accounts, tax department, import-export, and major trade sectors.\u00a0 He emphasized starting Commerce education from Class IX to inculcate the tendency of students in various fields of employment in schools across Punjab.\u00a0 According to the new education policy, a solid policy has been formulated to promote commerce as a vocational subject.\u00a0 It is important to keep this vocational issue at the forefront in order to break the cycle of unemployment.<\/p>\n

Harpinder\u00a0 Singh Dhillon, Vijay Uppal, Satish\u00a0 Bhadson, Vinod Abohar, Parvidner Singh, and Gurpreet Kaur lecturers also emphasized on starting Commerce education from Class IX to inculcate the tendency of students in various fields of employment in schools across Punjab.\u00a0 According to the new education policy, a solid policy has been formulated to promote commerce as a vocational subject.\u00a0 It is important to keep this vocational issue at the forefront in order to break the cycle of unemployment.<\/p>\n

They said the mental readiness created by training in the subject of commerce has the potential and prospective to become highly skilled in professions like management.\u00a0 An extensive spread of commerce is needed to take advantage of easy employment opportunities for students.\u00a0 Highly educated, experienced teachers of Commerce subject have been serving in the master cadre in the government schools of Punjab for a long time now and beginnings can be implemented without any burden on the exchequer, which will have an immediate effect in the next five years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
