Pak govt recognizes Bhai Ram Singh famous and well-known designer and master craftsman<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lahore\/Ferozepur, July 15, 2021:<\/strong>\u00a0 On the request of Imtiaz Rasheed Qureshi Chairman Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Pakistan, the Pakistan government has recognized the services of Bhai Ram Singh (1858-1916) famous and well-known designer and master craftsman by fixing the nameplate at Lahore Museum Mall Road and NCA College, Lahore.<\/p>\n

Bhai Ram Singh was one of the pre-partition Punjab\u2019s foremost architects dominating the scene for nearly two decades from the 1890s.\u00a0 Amongst his works is the Durbar Room, Osborne House, on the Isle of Wight, England; Lahore Museum, May School of Arts, Chamba House and Punjab University, all in Lahore and Governor\u2019s House in Simla. Ram was mainly an engineer and contractor but is sometimes given credit as the architect of his buildings.<\/p>\n

Qureshi said, this step of the government is highly commendable and there is a message from the government of Pakistan to the whole world that they respect\u00a0 of Designer & Master Craftsmen\u00a0 as such persons do not \u00a0belong to any particular religion and part of the society.<\/p>\n

He said, we have also approached the government to name Shadman Chowk as Bhagat Singh Chowk and shortly the stone on this account will also be installed shortly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
